Accommodation
Your home will be an important part of your experience and comfort. Toronto is a large city with many housing options: live with a local family (homestay); get a dormitory room in a university residence (summer only); or rent an apartment off-campus.
The following information is provided as a guide only to assist your accommodation planning and to help you make an informed choice.
If you plan to live in Toronto for more than one month, it is often a good idea to start by finding a temporary place to stay when you arrive. The University of Toronto Housing Service provides a list of temporary and longer-term accommodation.
Once you are in Toronto, you will be able to go and see different housing options and decide where you want to live. During orientation in the first week of your program, we offer an information session on housing.
Options for accommodation include:
- Homestay (four weeks minimum)
- Off-campus housing
- University residence (early May to late August only)
A variety of meal-plan options are available depending on the type of accommodation you select.
Please note: The University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies does not assume responsibility and is not liable for residence, homestay, hotel or other accommodation arrangements or reservations.
